LP-AM243: Signal RMII_REF_CLK connection

Part Number: LP-AM243
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi all,

TRM states that CLKOUT should route back to RMII_REF_CLK

CLKOUT and use pin A18 and V13

RMII_REF_CLK can use pin U1 and W13

But I can't find where to config these two signals in syscfg.

Should I choose of A18 and V13 to route back to one of U1 and W13? Could you show me where to config this in syscfg?

Thanks,

Hang.

  • Hello Hang,

    Thank you for the query.

From my understanding, you want to bring out CLKOUT0 functionality and RMII_REF_CLK functionality with the help of Sysconfig tool in AM243x ALX package.

           (1) CLKOUT0 can be brought out either via A18 or V13 pin. It can be done by choosing Reserve Peripherals->SYSTEM->CLKOUT0->(A18/V13) as shown in the image below.

          (2) RMII_REF_CLK can be brought out either via U1 or W13 pin. It can be done by choosing Software -> TI NETWORKING ->Enet(CPSW) ->Pinmux config->CPSW Pinmux ->choose RMII ->RMII_REF_CLK(RMII_REF_CLK)->U1/W13 as shown in the image below.
