AM263P4-Q1: XTAL used on AM263P Evaluation Board

Hi,

In the datasheet of AM263P, the required specifications for Crystal Parallel Resonance Frequency is +/- 50ppm like below.

 

However, the AM263Px evaluation board is equipped with a crystal resonator "ABM10W-25.0000MHZ-8-K1Z-T3." which has the frequency tolerance of this crystal is +/-10ppm and the frequency stability is +/-50ppm.

It does not seem to meet the required specifications for AM263P. Please let them know why there is no problem with the above crystal unit.

    I have reached out to more experts regarding where this requirement specified in the datasheet was originated from. I am expecting some delay given the ongoing holidays, so I will update you as soon as I have an answer.

    Hi Hideaki, 

    I can confirm that the ABM10W K1Z option is +/-10 ppm frequency tolerance and +/-50ppm frequency stability. That is just outside the +/-50ppm operating point we require from our datasheet. 

    Most likely, this specific ABM10W crystal was selected due to availability at the time, but I think we should change this in our  EVM BOM to align with the datasheet. Thank you for highlighting that.
