To understand the necessary hardware changes required to operate PHY in RMII mode, please refer below two threads:

And there is no specific example available for RMII mode, after doing necessary hardware changes to operate PHY in RMII mode then we just need to uncheck the "MII Enable" on the controller side

Once we did this both controller and PHY will be operate in RMII mode and same LwIP example should work on RMII mode as well.

Hi Jagadish,

Does any Hardware changes required on LAUNCHXL2-RM57L Development Board. I have read the above threads by the way i have configured the all the software setting as in the thread in Halcogen and The hardware pin RX_DV was pulled up by pull up N2HET1_30 PIN as High. 

I have attached the project below,

DP83640 RMII TEST.zip

In this code I was able to access the PHY chip register through the MDIO. But I was not able to transmit and receive data.

Kindly verify the code.

Yes, the hardware changes i pointed out in my last comment should require operating PHY in RMII mode. You have to make same changes in launchpad as well but i never did any testing on launchpad but make sure to properly do all the required changes we mentioned.

Hi Ajith Kumar,

After reviewing Launchpad schematic it would be difficult to configure it in RMII mode.

Because RX_DV have a parallel resistor and it is pull-down.

Here they didn't provide provision to configure it in RMII mode like HDK board

See in HDK board they provided the provision for configuration. So, my suggestion would be better to use HDK board if you want to test RMII mode.
