AM2634: Problem to debug a single core example from MCU+ SDK for AM263x - 09.01.00.41

I tried to debug the "GPIO LED Blink" from "MCU+ SDK for AM263x - 09.01.00.41" from Code Compuser Studio with the hardware AM263X-LP.

When I start to debug a get this error message:

I can debug the same project from CCS Cloud environment without any problem.

I can debug the multicore project "IPC Notify Echo" without any problem.

Hi Lars,

Can you please share some information about the board you are using. Is it a GP device or HS device? Also, can you please try to power cycle the board before running the example, and make sure you connect the USB cable after the power supply cable.

If you see the top of the dialogue box, you can see it's a failure to connect to the Cortex_M4 which is the HSM. This will be firewalled by default AFAIK. I don't believe you need to connect this target only the R5F targets. Deselect the M4 device.

I think I know whats the reason of my issue.
When starting to debug the for the very first time there is popup window to select core:

If all cores are selected then debug seesion will not start.

I deleted the example and imported the exapmle again and select only the first core and then it is possible to debug. :-)

Is there any way to deselect the unwanted cores without delete/import the example if I make this mistake again?

As discussed above, the expected pop-up will arise when trying to debug for the M4 secure core. Hope you followed through the FAQ and understand why direct debugging of M4 HS cores is not possible.

When you import the project and click the "Debug as Code Composer studio debug session" for the first time, you will be prompted to select the desired cores. You can select R5F0_0 core.

The debug configuration does provide an option to select/deselect cores to load the application on, but I would highly recommend following a cleaner approach (delete and import and select the correct core in the first debug session itself), rather than changing the desired cores later.
