TMS570LS3137: Boot mode options and GPIO States at boot mode

Hello;

We are new atTMS5703137DPGEQQ1 MCU. SCI (via RS422) Bootloader is a requirement in our project. However i cant see any information about boot mode and boot mode configuration. Can you please inform me about Boot mode options , specially SCI Boot mode for this MCU.

The other related question is , GPIO states at Boot Mode.

In the previous version of the project, we were using TMS320F28335 MCU. However, when the MCU enters boot mode, all GPIOs go to high state. This situation can cause problems for a safety-critical output.

Do you have any software/hardware suggestions to set the GPIO pins low in boot mode?

Hi Kadir,

There won't be any boot mode in the Hercules devices (including TMS570LS3137). The code will always execute in the flash from the starting address of 0x00000000.

Please refer my recent below thread to understand more details:

So, what we will do here is that we will program our bootloader code at starting address of the flash i.e.0x00000000. And after reset of the board this bootloader will get executed and this bootloader will do two functions one is that it will program the application into the flash and the second function is that it will call the application program to execute.
