Hi experts,

The Safety Manual lists the diagnostic ETH18: Software test of New Memory Protection Unit (NMPU) Function. The description of the diagnostic is pretty vague.
The NMPU gives 2 Methods to test its functionality: internal and external diagnostic mode.

Which mode should be used to test the Ethernet NMPU?

Hi Max,

I never tested in practical but after going through TRM i understood either of the diagnostic mode can be used.

So the diagnostic ETH18 does not call for one specific method but we can decide to use the internal diagnostic mode over the external diagnostic mode or vice versa?
