MSPM0G3507: Using 2x SPI Interfaces

Hello Team,

I'm debugging a device that needs to interface with SPI. I notice the M0G series features 2x SPI interfaces. My question is can I use the same LP-MSPM0G3507 EVM as both a SPI controller and peripheral like the image below? Or would I need to use two separate EVM?

Hi Josh,

No, you can only configure the device as a controller or a peripheral, which means you need to use two separate EVMs.

If you go to sysconfig it will not allow you to select both controller mode and peripheral mode.

I've been able to configure SPI0 as a controller (master) and SPI1 as a peripheral (slave). Is that the kind of thing you had in mind?

Hi Josh,

Yes you can configure SPI0 and SPI1 as different modes, but you won't be able to configure one SPI as both controller and peripheral.

Hello Bruce,

What I had in mind, for example, was sending a PICO signal from the M0 through the DUT but being able to read the incoming signal using the same M0. But like Sean mentioned we need to use two separate EVMs.
