Hi Team,

I'm trying to understand the difference between the regular TMDSHSECDOCK for C2000 and the TMDSHSECDOCK-AM263.

Can a C2000 MCU be used with the TMDSHSECDOCK-AM263? I see the TMDSHSECDOCK-AM263 on the samples page but not the C2000 TMDSHSECDOCK so I wanted to know if they are interchangeable?

    Hi Nishka, 

    A c2000 controlCARD EVM can certainly be used with the TMDSHSECDOCK-AM263, however the functionality  would be the same as the TMDSHSECDOCK - i.e. breaking out the 180-pin HSEC connector to the headers on the dock board.  The TMDSHSECDOCK-AM263 was designed specifically for the features of the AM263x controlCARD EVM, and includes additional hardware to support the peripherals featured on the AM263x controlCARD EVM.  For example, there is a PSRAM device on the TMDSHSECDOCK-AM263 to be used with the GPMC peripheral on the AM263x, but would not have any use with a C2000 EVM, since GPMC is not a supported peripheral on C2000.
