AM2434: What's the recommended way to program am243x on customer product line?

Thank you for the information. The link includes methods to program flash device in mass production. But am243x seems need to do SOC initialize first before we can flash it through jtag, and SOC initialization require changing boot modes. 

Are there any documents about how to handle the SOC initialization without changing boot modes?

What is the boot mode you are preferring in your production line ? I hope it will be xSPI or OSPI as primary boot mode. What about the Secondary Boot Mode ?

As per AM243x MCU+ SDK: EVM Setup (ti.com), we need uart boot to flash the sbl. If we are using CCS to do the one time SOC initialization, we need to run a js script under no boot.

AM243x support UART Boot mode, USB DFU Boot mode as well as Dev Boot Mode for valid flasher firmware to work. What is your recommendation in the production line.

It's best to be able to use only one bootmode.

Looks like we need at least two boot mode (uart/usb/null/dev + opsi), since the application would be flashed on ospi flash, the final boot mode has to be ospi boot. 

Is this possible to use only one boot mode? If not, what's the recommended implementation of boot switching in product line?

    We are developing a PLC product using AM2432, and currently the hardware design BOOTMODE only adopts SPI mode. However, we have received PCBA and are unable to download the software. TI's FAE  has informed me that teh AM2432 have to change boot mode to either do SOC initialization(UART MODE) or programming the SBL(JTAG、xSPI、USB..),Therefore, regarding whether AM2432 program downloads must support different modes.

Yes. You cannot program the device in SPI mode. SDK does not support the same and its way to complicated to do it.

Can you share the boot mode value programmed on your custom device ?

The boot mode on the custom device is ospi boot, and it’s fixed by resistor pulling up/down.

Currently their boot mode is by default BOOTMODE[0:15] = 1101100 10000000.  They can change the boot mode by removing/adding resistors at the development stage, actually they've change to UART boot to follow the "EVM setup guide". What they want is not to change boot mode in the production edge. For example, they now have to use UART boot to load the sbl and app, then use qspi mode to boot the app on flash, they have to change form UART boot to QSPI for each device on the product line.

Is there a way to use one boot mode only? This one mode can be any mode since they are still in development stage.

Meanwhile I saw in AM243x MCU+ SDK: EVM Setup (ti.com) that SD boot can also do the SOC initialization. Does it mean that they can use SD boot alone to both initialize SOC and run the app?
