MSP432E401Y: sw migration from CC3235

Part Number: MSP432E401Y
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3235MODSF

my customer is using our CC3235MODSF. Now he would like to implement a solution with Ethernet instead of WiFi quickly. The software should be easily portable, especially regarding the network communication.

What would be our best M4 based device?

Thanks  and bye
Hanno

  • Hi Hanno,

Both MSP432E and TM4C129 MCU support Ethernet with an integrated PHY. These two PNs are the same silicon. However, TM4C129 MCU is based on TivaWare SDK while MSP432E is based on the SimpleLink ecosystem. If you are already familiar with SimpleLink SDK for CC3235 then MSP432E  would be a simpler migration.
