I need a precise statement from TI regarding longevity of the mentioned part. Can you provide such document ?

Hi Lorenzo,

The TMS570 devices have been in the market for several years, and Cortex-R4/R5 are very mature architecture with SoC integration features for use in deeply embedded real-time and safety-critical systems. We don't have plan to EOL any of TMS570 parts.

TI policies for standard product longevity

TI standard products are not eligible for obsolescence if any of these three conditions exist:

The product has had any sales within the last five years (seven years for automotive or high-reliability products).
The product can be manufactured and has been in production for less than 10 years.
The product has any current customer demand.

Hello jagadish gundavarapu , thank for your answer. I'll be more specific: when you declare the EOL of the product how much longer can I expect the product to be in production ?

The part will not be EOL if this part has had sales within the last 7 years. TMS570LC43x has sales last year and this year, it won't be EOL in next 7 years.

So, you can expect minimum of seven years and this product is doing good so it should go long from TI. For example, TMS320C55x DSP has been in production for more than 25 years, it is still Active since it has customer demand. So, the product will not go as long as it has sales.
