AM2634: Open Drain Outputs (GPIO)

Part Number: AM2634

When I look at the AM263x documentation, it seems that it is not possible to configure outputs in an open-drain mode.

Is this true?

  • Hello,

There is not an official "Open-drain mode" for the general LVCMOS voltage buffers which are used for a majority of the pins on the device. However, if you select one of these pins for your GPIO, they can be configured to operate as open-drain outputs by configuring the GPIO module to source a constant low output and toggle the output enable. The output buffer will drive low when enabled and will be high impedance when disabled.
