Does J721e-EVM  require a cooling fan to cool the processor?

    There are many factors (end product max use case processing; PCB stack-up, materials & size; nearby heat sources (i.e. BUCK/LDO pwr dissipation); max operating temp, enclosure form factor, heat sink size, temp rise & air flow; etc.) that must be taken into account in determining whether a processor needs a cooling fan. Therefore, a thermal system simulation is recommended for all processor end products.

    The J721E EVM SoM board uses a small heat sink without cooling fan since it is not enclosed and operating in a laboratory environment.
