I am assuming you are referring below documentation. It mention how current sense, position sense, HDSL, ENDAT ....structured and why.

One of the example is a reference design "TIDEP-01032 EtherCAT-Connected Single-Chip Dual-Servo Motor Drive Reference Design" which will need EtherCAT internally.

Dear Ashwani,

my case is that we choosing the next MCU for motor control and probably industrial communication. One of the most important criteria ist time to success. Success is to have a kit that can drive one of our motors in simplest way, just to be able to make one turn. Its a pity, but I am far behind guys that suggest other MCUs: first I have discovered that we have bought incompatible kits despite TI's website states them as compatible, and now I need to read tons of documentation that levels out Sysconfig as a tool that could lead me to a fast success.  

However I will still try to do it and is thanking you for the information.

Can you share a little more detail on what EVMs you have bought and what are your final product requirements , is it to support multiple protocols for encoders and multiple protocols on industrial communication?

Do you have any high level block diagram , application, safety, security, price , performance  requirements that you can share with us on the public forum - so that we are able to better guide this discussion ?

Hello Mukul,

we have ordered LP-AM263 with BP-AM2BLDCSERVO, fortunately were able to cancel. Our final product will be motor drive supporting absolute all encoder and resolver protocols (serial, EnDat, BISS etc.). Support for industrial communications could be an advantage but I have already found out that BISS will use ICSS already (I thought it uses UART). I have thought about AM243x that has two ICSSs, but it has not enough ADCs.

As usual I cannot share our internal documentation and honestly I see no reason, as our internal challenge for new MCU is finished.

Can you please help clarify this statement. Did you already make a MCU selection. Is AM24 still in consideration?

FYI quick tactical answer for your question on SYSCFG conflicts between comms and motor control, this was a known issue that is fixed/addressed in the latest AM24 SDK

- You mentioned looking for IOLink in sysconfig. For IOlink we had a booster board which sits on top of AM243x LP, so configuration is done through GPIOs (different Channels TX/RX). 

-IO-Link Master: Quickstart - IO-Link Master (ti.com) --> You can check sysconfig for this demo to get a better idea on how those GPIO and other modules are setup for IOlink

-BOOSTXL-IOLINKM-8 Evaluation board | TI.com

- Our Dual Motor Control Demo (included in MCU-SDK 9.1) is a good example on how to, concurrently, use AM243x Multicore and HW capabilities. This TI Design has 3 CCS projects. Motor1 uses R5F_0_0, Motor2 uses R5F_0_1, and EtherCAT uses R5F_1_0. Exploring those projects Sysconfig could help to understand how the different demo pieces are setup.
