MSPM0L1105: RUN2 Mode Current Consumption Issue

My expect current in RUN2 mode is <100uA. But the current I test on MSPM01105 with no sentence in while(1) cycle is still cannot achieve this level.

I'd like to know is this possible to decrease the current under 100uA on MSPM01105?

In my test the result is 257uA. I don't think we can achieve <100uA in RUN2.

According to the datasheet, under RUN mode, the Ivdd will be at mA level calculated with the frequency.

See below table, is it true that only in stop2/standby mode could the MCU achieve <100uA level?

If so, still 1 question that:

Checked in table8-1 and seems RUN2 and STOP2/STANDBY modes all disable the SYSOSC so I guess the key power dissipation doesn't come from SYSOSC, but may be the CPU. So, to achieve customer's target Ivdd<100uA level, the only choice is to shut down the CPU right?

This may indicate that MSPM0L1105 may not be the best choice based on customer's need.

My test result is 400uA on MSPM01105 (not 1306 launchpad) without using any peripherals that may consume current. It is the least current I can achieve. Is it possible that different MCU cause the different test results (257uA and 400uA)?

Hi Joyce,

There are two power domains on the devices: PD0 and PD1. STOP/STANDBY will also disable PD1 to achieve lower power.

And yes, if you need CPU keep alive, then it is hard to achieve <100uA target. We will recommend to use low power mode with CPU disabled.

No, M0L1105 is very similar to M0L1306. You can check if there are additional pull-up/down resistors.

When I test the launchpad, all headers are removed. And I used a power analyzer.
