Hi,

We’re planning to use the TMS570 series microcontroller for one of our projects. We’re interested in the EP (Enhanced Product) version, but it appears that EP variants are only available in the BGA package, specifically for part numbers 4357 and 3137. Are there any other TMS570 series part numbers with EP grade?

Additionally, we generally prefer to avoid using BGA packages. Could you provide more information on the constraints or problems faced when using BGA packages for aerospace applications?

Hi Navin Singh,

TMS570LC4357-SEP is a space grade device.

LC4357 were used by many space/avionic customers. We haven't seen any issue report about the package.

Thanks for the response. Do TI provide any kind of field data for same. As an example those who have utilized this part and how many of those parts or no parts have faced issue over soldering or temperature cycling test or any kind of other tests in aerospace on a PCBA.
