AM2434: The speed of running the code in DDR4 am2434

Part Number: AM2434

The memory clock frequency of DDR4 is set to 800MHz, the same as the main frequency. So, is there a difference in speed between running the code in DDR and running the code in on-chip RAM? Do you have any relevant performance statistics about the speed in DDR and ram?

  • We don't have anything specific comparing executing from internal RAM vs external DDR.  I think in general execution or accesses out of internal memory will be faster, but there would be a lot of factors that could affect this performance.  It is best to perform your own tests in your own system to determine performance for your use case.
