Hi,

I am writing to inquire about the debugger selection for our custom board.

Our custom board features an MSPM0L 1306 MCU and the ARM Cortex Debugger (10-pin) connector. I have been utilizing the XDS110 debug probe embedded in the LP-MSPM0L 1306 Development Kit to program/debug our firmware in SWD mode.

My questions are as follows:

Can we possibly utilize the embedded debug probe on a LP-MSPM0L 1306 Development Kit to program/debug our firmware on our custom board?
If not, would the standalone XDS110 Debug probe (TMDSEMU110-U) be the right choice for our use case?

Hello Kyungjae,

Referring to the MSPM0L1306 Launchpad user guide, section 2.3.6, yes you can use the XDS110-ET located on the Launchpad to program your custom PCB. This would be done typically in a development environment, not production. It is possible to use the XDS110 as well for this purpose.
