AM2434: Make Firmware Permanent After Power Cycles in AM2434 LP

1. Can you please describe your boot process? Are you using an SD card to boot, or OSPI flash or anything else?

2. What is the firmware you are running? Is this an SDK example?

So you have the bootloader, TIFS and application in the OSPI NOR flashed? And this works for the first time but doesn't work the next time?

If I understand correctly:

1. Flash the OSPI will bootloader, tifs & application

2. Power on the board -> Application works

3. Power cycle the board -> Application should work but doesn't, is this correct?

4. If now you repeat step 1 and then 2, only then things work.

Which example is this? If this is an example which erases the flash then what you are seeing is expected.

Sorry for the delayed response.

Your understanding is correct.

We are running the example from mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_09_00_00_35\examples\hello_world\am243x-lp  and also we tried some more examples from that.

This example should not be erasing the flash contents.

Can you please list the steps you followed to run this example along with how you flashed the OSPI with the bootloader and the applicaiton?

Thank you for your quick response.

How you flashed the OSPI with the bootloader and the application?

1.We initially followed the procedures of the Flash SOC Initialization binary for AM2434 LP and obtained the desired result as stated in the user guide.

2.After that, we followed the instructions to Run the SOC Initialization Script for AM2434 LP and received the expected result as stated in the user guide.

3. Following that, we set the AM2434 LP in OSPI Boot Mode by using the Boot Mode Select switch - BOOTMODE [1: 8] (SW4) = 0100 0100).

Then We flashed the application.

Can you please list the steps you followed to run this example?

1.File>>Import>>CCS Project>>C:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_09_00_00_35\examples\hello_world\am243x-lp\r5fss0-0_freertos 

2. We changed while (1) to print hello world continually.

3. Next, we debug the project file. Parallely, we opened the serial terminal console.

4. After debugging, hello world prints consistently in the terminal.

5. After plug-out and plug-in, reopen the console of JTAG XDS 110 UART. At that time, it was printing continuously.

6.After plugging out and plugging in the power and JTAG XDS 110 UART wire, we accessed the console and nothing was printed.

7. When you open the console after turning off/on the power, hello world should be printed, correct?
