MSPM0L1304: wakeup pin from shutdown mode

Part Number: MSPM0L1304
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi Expert,

from MSPM0L1304 datasheet, PA0\1\17\18 can be wake up pin for shutdown mode.

but from table 6-1, only PA17\18 has wake feature.

also, I cannot select PA1 for shutdown mode wake up in sysconfig.

question 1, can I use PA0\1 to wake up from shutdown mode?

question 2,  from MSPM0L TRM as below, PA18 cannot be used to wake up from shutdown mode, right?

When exiting SHUTDOWN, the boot strap loader (BSL) invoke pin must be held at a logic low level to prevent unintended entry into the BSL during exit from SHUTDOWN. An entry to the BSL during SHUTDOWN exit would prevent the application code from starting, the BSL interfaces would not be available, and a SWD connection would not be possible as the IO states remain latched through SHUTDOWN exit until application software releases the IOs.

BR,

frank

  • Hi Frank,

Regarding PA0/1, there seems to be some confusion in the way the pin attributes are described in the datasheet.  My understanding is both PA0/1 have the wakeup logic, but let me confirm with design team.

For PA18 wake up logic you will need to be set as a GPIO and BSL disabled in NONMAIN.
