Sorry for the delay.  According to our SW team there is no example code, yet.  They are working on some.  I know that doesn't meet your immediate needs.

They did mention that using the LIN Counter shown in figure 14-6 in the TRM, and knowing the clock frequency driving the UART, it is possible to calculate the period and thus the baud rate.

For example -> UART clock is SYSOSC 32MHz (31.25ns).  Using the capture values, say for example the LINC0 has 3333.  If you multiply 3333 by the UART clock period you get -> 3333 x 31.25ns = 104.2us -> 1/104.2us = 9600 baud.
