AM2634: Examining The Contents Of An Appimage File

Hello,

I made a multi-core appimage using $(MCU_PLUS_SDK_PATH)/tools/boot/multicoreImageGen/multicoreImageGen.js but only Core 0 seems to work.

I would like to examine/open/extract/dump the contents of the appimage to determine if there is any obvious error.

1) How can I open an appimage file on Windows please?

2) Is the .appimage file generated by the TI SDK the same .appimage used by some Linux apps?

You can open App Image via any hex editor. It is a raw binary format.

Hi Aakash,

Many thanks for the info. That gives me a chance to understand if I have made my appimage correctly.

I think we can conclude that this is not the same as the Linux Appimage. I guess it's just coincidentally named,
