MSPM0L1105: (Error -6305) PRSC module failed to write to a router register. (Emulation package 9.13.0.00201)

Part Number: MSPM0L1105
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi,

I have a Target MSPM0L1105 connected via a DAP cable to the J102 DAP port of the XDS110 Breakout side of a launchpad LP1306 used to flash and debug the MSPM0L1105.  I was able to load the application code to the MAIN region of the Flash memory from the Uniflash tool via the XDS110 of the launchpad to the Target MSPM0L1105 with the described connection setup, and debug the same on the target by loading the symbols from the CCS studio via the same connection setup to the Target.  While repeating this step, the following error message was observed as in the below screenshot.

The factory reset auto command is not responding and giving message as in below screenshot (screenshot-2) , the Unlock MSPM0 method to Issue a Force Mass Erase command and Issue a Reset by Pressing the S3 button (NRST) on the launchpad that should generate a NRST to the Target MSPM0L1105 ( as per understanding ) also tried out, but the device seems to be not responding to this method as well.

What could be the possible reason for this or what could be the state of the Target Device, and suppose if by any chance one happens to erase the NON-MAIN region so that, BCR,BSL configurations got cleared - for example the configs like - BSL mode enable./disable, DEBUG enable/disable , SWD port access enable/disable  are all erased (also if it got a power cycle)

Is there any option to recover the device, like invoking it to BSL mode and trying to rewrite the NON-MAIN BCR,BSL configuration region again ?

  • Hello Jayakrishnan,

1). If you used the XDS110 of LaunchPad through J102 and connect with your own target, the REST button (S3) is not connected to your target board. You can refer to the LaunchPad user guide. MSPM0L1306 LaunchPad Development Kit (LP-MSPM0L1306) User's Guide (Rev. E) (ti.com)

2). If you have erased the NONMAIN region and make it cleared, the M0 will be disable to connect with SWD or disable to go into BSL mode.

3). You can try to connect BSL invoke pin to VCC and do factory reset using CCS (do factory reset using SWD in BSL mode). If the factory reset can't be implemented, you chip is completely locked. Try to use another one.

    Best Regards,
