AM2431: Is it possible to use SPIs in main domain from M4F in FFI island on the Safety support device ?

I have gone through your question.

I know your question is if main/SoC_SPIs can be used from MCU Domain in FFI island.

Can you help in referring me to a document customer is using to know about FFI Island?

Thanks for your reply and apologies in my late response.

The customer wants to use 6ch SPIs by M4F as Safety MCU in MCU domain (isolated FFI Island).

However, the datasheet describes that there are only 2ch SPI in MCU domain, but 5ch SPI in Main domain.

Therefore, they’re considering to have M4F use also 4ch SPI in Main domain.

Can M4F can access these SPI in Main domain in the case of Isolated FFI mode ?

1.  4ch Main domain SPIs are going to be used by M4F in MCU domain.

     2ch MCU domain SPIs are going to be used by M4F in MCU domain.

2.  R5F in Main domain doesn’t use SPI.

Thanks for your response.

As far as the timeout gasket is configured/available for the SPI peripheral, the safety core can access Main Domain SPI channel in case of Isolated FFI mode.
