LP-MSPM0L1306: MSMPM0L 1306 can't flash new firmware anymore

Part Number: LP-MSPM0L1306
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Dear TI

Our development board MSMPM0L 1306 can't flash new firmware anymore.

It would pop up the new picture everytime now

How to revocer this board to normal state?

PS: We use gpio_toggle_output.syscfg as example, and change pin 23 and pin 24 as GPIO input usage.

There are some red or yellow warning signs, and we ignore them.

Please help to tell me how to fix this issue.

  • Hi team,

    customer use LP-MSPM0L1306.

  • Hi team,

As above description, customer tried to use Sysconfig to change SWDIO (pin23) and SWCLK(pin24) to GPIO. After building and  flashing FW to MSPM0L, then their launchpad cannot work anymore (error message as above snapshot).

They already tried on 3 boards and all these 3 launchpad cannot work anymore. Need team's support on below.

    1. Can these two pin (SWDIO, SWCLK) be reconfigured to GPIO ?

    2. How to fix/recover their NG launchpad ? Is there any Factory Reset method to fix/recover these 3 NG launchpads ?

  • I think that should be normal, if you configure the SWD pins to GPIO function you can use the SWD pin with those pins.

To recover the SWD pin, customer can push the button S1 to pull high of PA18 to make and do a power cycle that to make the device go into BSL mode that to avoid running customer's code to disable SWD pins, and then do a mass erase or factory reset
