MSPM0C1104: The need for Reset capacitor and pull-up resistor!?

Hi,

I would like to minimize the use of external components in my MSPM0C1104 design. Since I'll not use the reset (NRST) pin, can I omit the capacitor and connect pin directly to Vdd.?

In the MSPM0L datasheet the cap and res are optional, but in MSPM0C this note is not present.  Is there a reason for this?
