MSPM0L1305: Flashed the code does not run after power reset

Part Number: MSPM0L1305
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG, , MSPM0L1306

Hi Team,

I loaded my code into the microcontroller using the Load Program , and it is working as expected. However, when I perform a power-on reset, I am unable to observe any output in the terminal.

can you Please help me regrading this ASAP

  • Hi Santhosh,

Tell me about your set.  Using CCS? version of SDK, Sysconfig.  What are you using to program the target? XDS110, JLink, etc.

  • Hi Dennis,

Thank you so much for the reply,

    I am using:

    • CCS version: 12.5.0
    • SDK: mspm0_sdk_1_30_00_03
    • Sysconfig: 1.18.0
    • I am using the XDS110 debug probe to flash.
  • Hi Santhosh,

Are you able to share your code?  You can share it privately if needed.

  • Hi Dennis,

sorry for the delay, I was conducting testing on the UART LIN  to confirm the power reset issue, as I am currently working on the UART LIN,so I used example code from the SDK to verify it first

I flashed the lin commander code(Debug-> .out) onto the microcontroller,. I am able to observe the output in CANoe as describe in Readme(press switch1 to see the transmission)

However, when I power off the Eval-board and my power supply(12 v), then power it on again, I am unable to observe the output in CANOe

I am not sure what mistake I am making, can you Please help me with this issue regarding this Please ASAP because It's crucial for me to resolve it quickly

you may ask whether GPIO Toggle is working after power reset;yes,it is working on  the microcontroller

    I am using

    • CCS version: 12.5.0
    • SDK: mspm0_sdk_1_30_00_03
    • Sysconfig: 1.18.0
    • microcontroller - Eval board(MSPM0L1306) for Testing since I dont have the MSPM0L1305 Eval Board
    • I am using the XDS110 debug probe to flash.
    • I used LIN Enable Pin as PA27
  • Hi Dennis,

Can you Please reply for this

  • Hi Santhosh,

I apologize for the delayed response.

If you are still having issues after you have removed the debugger from the circuit and cycle power, check what is the voltage on the NRST pin.  You should have a pull up resistor (47K typ) tied to VDD.
