RM48L952: Safe application using 8 quadrature encoders

Hi,
We have used successfully the RM48 for building a SIL4 application. However we are now planning to use it on another product which will require the processing of 4 quadrature signals (200kHz max) which will then be transmitted over CAN bus.
Based on my previous experience with this microcontroller it seems pretty feasible, but considering I have absolute no experience with N2HET peripherals, I'd like to know if there are any known restrictions for this application.

Hi Nilton,

Yes, it is feasible, you can process the 200Khz signal using N2HET.

The only suggestion from my side would be that in worst case there can be an error of one loop resolution time, so keep the loop resolution time as minimum as possible. For more details refer below thread
