Can the TMS570LS10106 talk to I2C devices?

The TMS570LS10x family does not include an I2C controler on chip. The TMS570LS31x/21x devices, however, do.

If the new 31x/21x parts are not an option for you, we do believe that it is possible to use the NHET Timer Co-Processor to perform I2C Master and Slave interface emulation. A conceptual solution has been put together. However, at this time, we do not have example NHET code that we could share.
