AM2632: AM2632: Secure boot with OSPI from external flash

Part Number: AM2632

Hi,

we want to use secure boot for our SBL and our application. We ware using QSPI bootmode from external flash. Now I have found a limitation to secure boot in combination to QSPI boot in the SDK 9.1.0.41.
We want to have a encrypted SBL and application in the external flash.

Is this featuture in general not supported for AM263x or is it planned for future releases? Can you give a timeline?

And a further question. We have a special bootflow implemented. Our SBL loads R5SS1, which does pBIST on R5SS0, before R5SS1 loads firmware from flash to R5SS0.
Is a secure bootlflow possible in this constellation?

Best regards
Jo

  • Hi Jo Scho,

Is this featuture in general not supported for AM263x or is it planned for future releases? Can you give a timeline?

It is planned for 10.00 release due Aug/Sept 2024.

Is a secure bootlflow possible in this constellation?

Yes, this is possible as you will be required to consider having multiple certificates for each CPU application images.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
