In CCS 12.2 environment, the PC connects to AM2732 through the XDS110 emulator, and the test connection can be successful, as shown in the following figure.

However, after clicking launch the configuration, the interface of CCS12.2 will freeze, as shown in the following figure: what should I do?

The same operation can be successfully connected in CCS12.0, why？

Hi,

Is this custom hardware that is being used with an external XDS110 USB JTAG pod, or the TMDS273EVM with embedded XDS110? Can you confirm if this still occurs in the latest CCS12.7 release? https://www.ti.com/tool/download/CCSTUDIO/12.7.0

Between CCS releases there is sometimes an update to the XDS110 firmware that is also required. Can you try the automatic or manual XDS110 firmware update shown here: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/xdsdebugprobes/emu_xds110.html#updating-the-firmware

The product is TMDSEMU110-U.

I have the same issue when debugging in CCS12.7.

I found that with the update of CCS version, the driver version of XDS firmware will be updated automatically, when I installed CCS12.7 and debugged the test, I checked the firmware driver version 3.0.0.29 through the xdsdfu -e command.In this firmware version, CCS 12.0 can be used for debugging, but CCS 12.2 or 12.7 is still not available.

Does that mean that the issue is resolved in CCS12.2 or CCS12.7 after the XDS110 firmware update? But CCS12.0 still fails to connect?

Today, my colleague installed CCS12.2 in a brand new computer, and it can be debugged. Is it because I have CCS11.2 and CCS12.0 installed on my computer that these different versions will affect each other?

That is possible. The different CCS versions all come with different emulator drivers (in the ccs1260\ccs\ccs_base\common\uscif\ folder). I am guessing that maybe CCS11.2 and CCS12.0 had some kind of driver incompatibility. I don't think that is intended. I typically have multiple CCS versions installed simultaneously and have not run into this specific issue before, but I have also not yet installed your specific combination of CCS installs. I am going to send this post over to the CCS team to look at.

They should not conflict with each other.

Did your colleague use the same board and XDS110 debug probe that you were using? If not, can you have your colleague try it?

Also, can you confirm if the board is a custom one or if are using the AM273 EVM: https://www.ti.com/tool/TMDS273GPEVM ?

I had no issues starting a debug session using a standalone TMDSEMU110-U connected to an AM273 EVM with CCS 12.7.0:
