AM2634-Q1: About resolution of the ADC

Hello,Expert.

In the specifications of Sitara, the resolution of the ADC is 12bit,

but in the ADCCTL2 resistor, 16bit can be selected.

What would happen if it is set to 16 bit? 

(SPRUJ42C - 3.2.3 CONTROLSS_ADCn_CFG_ADCCTL2 Registers)

    Hello Sato-san,

    AM263x ADC only supports 12-bit resolution. I am unaware of what would happen if this is set to 16-bit, but I believe nothing will change and ADC results will still contain 12-bit data.

    Would you mind experimenting here and trying both options and provide your results?

    I will file a ticket to have these details fixed in the Register Addendum.

    We would like to arrange an opportunity for experimentation later on. However, in product, we will not do anything unnecessary, an will set this to 12bit.
