That depends on your hardware.

LIke a PC, you could turn on a fan.

As to software, you could defer some computations or slow down the clock speed.

The equipment already has a fan that is always turner-on and in some cases the house has air condition. If the temperature increases its is a failure.

I thought to put the software in a forever loop to reduce the MPU activitied, but I not sure it would resolve the problem. Reducing the clock too is a good idea.

Do you have an example on how to reduce the clock speed?

What about the sleep mode? Does the sleep mode works when the watchdog is already on. Do you have an example?
