I have a TM4C1294NCPDT CPU and I read the DIDI (Device ID 1) at offset 0x004 and when I read the register I read the value 0x102dc06e. The temp range in the register is bits 5, 6, and 7 and those bits read the value 0x3.
My 2 questions are:
1) when I read the register DID1, the temp bits are 0x3 and that is not defined since 0 is commercial, 1 = Industrial and 2 is Extended. A value of 3 (my reading) is undefined.
2) Is the rating on the part (image 3 below ) really mean the part is rated to run at 85C AMBIENT and that the actual temp of the chip can be higher than 85C and be within spec but as long at the AMBIENT temp is 85C or less the part is running in spec?
