LP-MSPM0C1104: After flashing some sample apps i run in error messages Error -6305

Hi Thomas, could you let me know the set of examples that you were using? By any chance did you use the erase NONMAIN option in an example?

If erase NONMAIN is selected then all of NONMAIN will be wiped out and if it is not handled properly then it will cause the device to become permanently locked

the problem appeared in CCS Theia 1.4.0 which i tried at first. The samples i tried were ADC and PWM for this board. I never changed any options in that.

But, what can be done to get the MSPM0C1104 back at work ? In CCS 12.7.1 i could verify the XDS110 part is working properly.

Is there a way to bring the MSP back online, can this happen in series production later ?

Hi Thomas, have you tried using our DSSM commands that can be read about at this link https://software-dl.ti.com/msp430/esd/MSPM0-SDK/latest/docs/english/tools/ccs_ide_guide/doc_guide/doc_guide-srcs/ccs_ide_guide.html#dssm-mass-erase-factory-reset-wait-for-debug-and-set-reset-mode.

Executing these commands could possibly recover the device. Please let me know if this works for you.

Could you also confirm if you have been using a hard reset or soft reset? With a hard reset what happens is a system reset using our sysctl module and not an nRST toggle. Soft reset will perform a "pure" cpu reset.
