Is it possible to configure GPIO pin PA9 for basic toggling operations on the MSMP0LP1306 launchpad instead of backchannel UART?
We want to be able to use PA9 for toggling a simple LED. And the issue I am currently facing is that after configuring this GPIO port in the sysconfig menu, I still struggle to set or clear the state of this pin. The same applies for PA8.

I pulled down some MSPM01306 documentation, and on page 8, it is written that the xds110 debug probe can provide a "backchannel" UART-over-USB connection with the host PC via pins PA8 and PA9 configured in UART0 mode. We are not using the backchannel UART function, therefore, PA8 and PA9 are not defined or used anywhere as UART pins and jumpers are removed. But still, when in sysconfig I define the PA9 as an output GPIO pin, it doesn't perform its intended function. I can toggle any other port apart from PA8 and PA9. II would be grateful if you could advise on how to reconfigure PA9 as a simple GPIO.
