TMS570LC4357: Unable to get ADC working

Tool/software:

I have been unable to get the ADC working in our project. I created a very simple test project that just had ADC 1 running in it but I am unable to even get the test or calibration functions to display sensible data. I tried the calibration because I just wanted to connect the HI reference to the input and confirm I got the expected result (I was expecting 0xfff or very close to it). The answers I am getting seems completely random. It does not matter whether I use the test or the cal or have a power supply connected to the input to a channel. I am pretty sure that the hi/low reference is connected to pins V15 and V16 correctly

I tried to look in the Halcogen examples but for some reason our installation does not have any of the pictures that show the settings in Halcogen, it only has the example.c files.

Does anyone have a really simple project that just connects the hi / low reference to the input via the test or calibration functions and reads the data?
