Dear Team,

We are designing a custom board having AM2634 MCU, Now i have few question regarding firmware image upload

As per evolution board URAT0 used for flash firmware binary image, do we need handshake also (CTS and RTS)
Can we use any another UART instead of UART0 to upload the firmware image.

The need for hardware handshaking (CTS and RTS) depends on the bootloader and firmware design. Generally, for UART-based firmware updates, flow control is not strictly required, but it can be beneficial for robust data transfer, especially at higher baud rates.

1. No, you do not need CTS and RTS. RX and TX are required.
Can we use any another UART instead of UART0 to upload the firmware image.
1. UART0 is the only UART instance supported by UART boot. The device ROM code configures only the UART0 port to transfer the boot data.
