Tool/software:
Hi,
We are designing the TMS570LS1224 into a control design for a manned-flight application. One of the points of information we need for possible FAA certification is the service history of a processor. Do you have any statistics on how long the TMS570LS1224 has been used in customer applications in terms of hours or other length of time? Or if it has been used in manned-rated applications?
Thanks
Check the compliance of the TMS570LS1224 with relevant safety standards such as ISO 26262 for automotive functional safety or IEC 61508 for industrial safety. Compliance with these standards can be indicative of the microcontroller's suitability for high-reliability applications.
Hi Peter,
In addition to the zain's inputs.
We don't have any field data. However, we have FMEDA, where we provided the FIT rate (Failure In Time), The FIT rate is the number of expected failures per one billion hours of operation, so a statistical representation for the probability of failure.
If your company have valid NDA with TI then you can get FMEDA for the TMS570LS1224 device.
