LAUNCHXL2-RM57L: Sensor Input Current to ADC Module

Part Number: LAUNCHXL2-RM57L

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am building a setup for characterization of a sensor which outputs the sensed value of a physical parameter in the form of a current which is in the range of microamperes. The range can be anywhere between 5uA - 30uA.

As far as I understand, I need to convert this current into voltage before giving it (as an input) to ADC on RM57L-Launchpad converts voltages to digital values. I want to know exactly how do I do this? Can I just keep a 1MΩ resistor and tap the voltage across it as an input to the ADC module or use a transimpedance amplifier whose output can be given to ADC?

If transimpedance amplifier is the answer, does TI offer any such ICs that do this?

Regards,

Chetan.
