Hi Team,

I am using this TMDSCNCD263 board and this is the IO Extender TMDSHSECDOCK. and using S25FL128S external QSPI Flash.

As per the ECC feature in S25FL128S 1 bit error correction and 2 bit error detection is possible, so i want to test this feature.

Please guide me to test the ECC feature on this TMDSCNCD263 board

Hi Swati,

The device internal flash and SRAM are protected by ECC (SECDED). The SECDED doesn't cover the external flash through QSPI.

Hi QJ Wang,

I am not using MCU(Core) ECC, I want to use ECC of External QSPI which is on AM2634 Board.

Do you have any idea regarding that.

Hi Swati,

The QSPI flash (S25FL128S) on control card supports single bit error correction. You can check the ECC status by reading the ECCSR register from S25FL128S. The ECC is calculated and programmed to SRAM when copying data from Flash to SRAM, and ECC is checked when reading data from SRAM. I don't think the ECC is calculated and compared (compare with the ECC stored in Flash) while transferring data via QSPI.
