Tool/software:
Hi champs,
I am asking this for our customer.
The user wants to disable the reset (NRST) pin as follows.
Questions:
1. If the user disables reset pin, will BOR (brown-out reset) function be affected or even compromised?
2. Is there any major side effect if the user disables reset pin?
Hi Wayne,
1. If disable NRST pin, the BOR can not be triggered by NRST pin low level any more. But BOR function can be triggered by other cases (VDD drops and SHUTDOWN mode exit).
2. The NRST SW in launchpad can not be used, and it may be harder to debug.
Regards,
Pengfei
Hi Pengfei,
1. That is, BOR function triggered by VDD drop still works normally even when NRST pin is disabled. Is my understanding correct?
