I am currently using the HalCoGen 04.07.01 with the TI LaunchpadXL2-RM57Lx. I am new to this and need help trying to synchronize the HET1 timer with the HET2 timer using the master-slave configuration. My HET1 timer is currently set to master mode and my HET2 timer is currently set to slave mode. I need help figuring out how to send the signal from the master to activate the slave. I am currently trying to synchronize a PWM interrupt for both HET timers.

I saw that on the RM57Lx technical reference manual, the N2HET2 uses the N2HET1_LOOP_SYNC signal to synchronize its own time base to the N2HET1. How do I accomplish this in either HalCoGen or Code Composer Studio? How can I make the N2HET1 module output the N2HET1_LOOP_SYNC signal so that the N2HET2 module can synchronize its PWM interrupt to the N2HET1?

Once you did above procedure then the slave N2HET synchronizes its loop resolution to the loop resolution signal sent by the master.

I set the CMS bits to both N2HET instances so that N2HET1 is master and N2HET2. Based on your comment, does the Master N2HET1 automatically send the signal to the slave N2HET2?

I noticed in the HalCoGen that in special pin muxing when I enable "Use HET1_LOOP_SYNC for time-base sync" under the Special Pin Muxing tab, the signal is sent. Did I need to enable this in order for the signal to be sent, or should the master have sent the synchronization signal automatically without enabling this field.

Hi James,

Apologies for the delay in my response, i am leave yesterday.

You don't need to enable that one to sync the master and slave N2HET.

Actually, this one is for to sync the ETPWM with N2HET. So, for master and slave N2HET synchronization, this setting is not required. The Synchronous signal will internally generate, and master and slave will automatically get synchronized.
