AM263P4: CMPSS module for fault detection

Hello All,

I am trying to use CMPSS module to trip PWM on an over voltage condition.

The trip function works fine, but i want to have a larger value for PWM to release the trips, i.e much higher value than configurable threshold options in CMPSS.

Please let me know if this is achievable and possible to link an example.

The above image is from the datasheet and only the above mentioned range is supported.

Hi Akshit,

I understand the limitation. Is it possible to change the DAC compare value to achieve the same?

For example we have a signal which needs to trip PWM above DAC value 3000. Once the comparator output is high, PWM should NOT turn on again until signal falls below 2000. can it be done by changing DACH reference value?

7.5.4.3 Reference DAC. (TRM)

The operating range of the reference 12-bit DAC is bounded by DACREF and VSSA. The high-voltage reference is VDDA by default, but the high voltage reference can be configured to be VDAC using the COMPDACCTL register.

Please find the limitations below/ in the datasheet

(1) VDDA33 is the voltage on the corresponding power-supply pin(s) on the IC.

Please refer to the TRM and DS for more information on how to configure the reference DAC according to your application requirements.
