AM2634: Difference between "AM2634COLFHAZCZR" and "AM2634COMFHAZCZR"

Hi there,

I was checking Nomenclature Description of  "AM2634COLFHAZCZR" and "AM2634COMFHAZCZR" and came to know that "Pre-integrated Stacks" is included in M device.
What will happned if I choose L version insted of M? What is Pre-integrated Stacks mean ?

    Also I want to know if we can use pins  PR0_PRU0_GPO0.. to... PR0_PRU0_GPO16  for Ethernet communications in below AM2634 version devices?

    1) AM2634CODFHAZCZR

    2) AM2634COLFHAZCZR

    3) AM2634COMFHAZCZR

    Pre Integrated stacks from TI are an optional feature in AM26x microcontroller families, designed to simplify Industrial communication needs with a pre-certified multiprotocol stack for Protocols like ETherCAT, EthernetIP, Profinet and IO-Link standard. We will be having Pre integrated stacks for AM263Px and AM263x by End of 2024 and q12025 respectively. If you do not opt for Pre Integrated stack you can either use your custom stack for these protocols or engage with one of our third parties for the same.

    You can find these details in the data sheet: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/am2634-q1.pdf   under section 10.1.2 Device Naming Convention

    AM2634CODFHAZCZR - You can use PRU for ethernet communication but EtherCAT and Pre Integrated is not enabled. 

    AM2634COLFHAZCZR - You can use PRU for ethernet communication and EtherCAT is also enabled but Pre Integrated is not enabled. 

    AM2634COMFHAZCZR - You can use PRU for ethernet communication, EtherCAT &  Pre Integrated botth are enabled.

    So, I can use Normal ethernet commmunication protocol in all above devices?

    Yes you can use Normal Ethernet.

    Hi Nilabh, I have querry on "AM2634CODFHAZCZR", in this version of microcontroller, can we use ethernet communication ? For reference please check the attached schematic taken from TI website " PROC110A_SCH_control card" page no 13. I want to know if I can use attached schematic with "AM2634CODFHAZCZR" version of microcontroller.

    As I clarified above yes ethernet will be supported.

    Whereas for board schematics you can use the control card schematics but please make sure you are following proper schematics, and the HW design guide: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sprabj8b/sprabj8b.pdf

    Also make sure you are getting HW schematics reviewed by an TI expert for which you will need to reach out to local Sales contact or FAE.
