What is truly frightening is we are about to stake our future on this part and this IDE and the most very basic and critical thing, a link to help, is broken.  How was this code unit teste and how is it possible this bug got through unit test?!  And where is TI support?

About how to use the CCS Theia, you can refer to the user guide which can also be found in SDK: docs -> english -> MSPM0_SDK_Documentation_Overview. I am sorry that maybe the link: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/users_guide_ccs_theia_1.4.1/index_overview.html  is broken when the CCS Theia is updated by our software team.

About how to set a project directory, can you provide me a description clearly ?

About the usage of github, you need to download a git plug-in unite.

fair enough.  Look at my other posts.  This appears to be a very buggy tool which translates into very frustrated user experience.  My apologies for letting my frustration get the better of me.  If you look at my other posts there is strong evidence that someone put pre-release code on your download page which is what I am running.  It does not seem possible that code this buggy could have been released.  Specifically see this which is telling me that what I have installed is AHEAD of what it wants to upgrade to?  How is that even POSSIBLE!


Now - When I click "Create new project ..." when, after that is clicked, am I prompted for the location (as in directory path) the project will be created.  The answer is never, best I can tell.  Its created in a default location and the ONLY way to get it where  I want it is to manually cut/paste the folder.  Unless you can guarantee that only relative paths are used then the use of cut paste to control the location of the project folder is a very bad hack.

You can try to use CCS IDE which can choose the path according to your requirement. CCS and CCS theia will save the project into workspace by default which makes managing project easier.

Can you clarify?  Is CCS IDE a different tool than "CCS and CCS theia"?  I am confused.  Are there 1, 2 or 3 different versions of CCS?  Are CCS, CCS Theia, and CCS IDE all different tools?

The "CCS IDE" I mentioned and the "CCS" are the same tools, but is different from "CCS Theia". Both CCS and CCS Theia are the IDE tools. I am sorry that I make you confused. You can download the CCS on ti.com too.

Its my understanding that elsewhere in this forum when users ask "I am starting a new project which tool should I use?" the answer is CCS Theia.  Do I understand that correctly?  That makes it sound like CCS is being replaced with CCS Theia, is that correct?  If so then I would prefer to work with the new CCS Theia tools, bugs and all, and provide feedback to encourage improvement.

CCS Theia and CCS are the IDE which is provided for customer by TI. Both will not be replaced by each other. I recommend you to use CCS just because CCS can choose the path by yourself.
