TMS570LS3137 certification

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LS3137

Hello Forum,

is or will  the TMS570LS3137 certified for SIL 3 applications like the TMS570LS20216S?

regards,

Lorenz

  • The safety standard for TMS570LS31x/21x will be IEC61508 SIL-3 and  ISO 26262 ASIL-D.

  • Lorenz,

At this time TI is creating the evidence to support certification against these two standards.  The Functional Safety Manual has been released already.  Safety Analysis reports for ISO26262 and IEC 61508 are currently in development and will be made available under NDA.  Our partner for the creation of the Safety Analysis and Safety Manuals is Yogitech.  As to a device-level assessment of suitability for use by a TUV or exida, for example, that plan is in progress and we will share more details with you as they become available.  However, based on our collaboration with Yogitech and our internal experience our confidence remains high that upon assessment of a customer's system for SIL-3 and ASIL-D prior to a TI device assessment will return a favorable result.

  • thank you Brian,

Currently I'am walking through the safety manual and the NDA is going to be signed soon.
