MSPM0C1104: Question about blocking

Hello,

I'm trying to block MSPM0C1104

So, I'm using the LP-MSPM0C1104 LaunchPad, and I also have a XMSM0C1104SRUKR WQFN 20 in my project.

I've tested both, in my Project and in the LaunchPad.

I'm getting a Time Out error when I enable “Erase MAIN and NONMAN necessary sectors only (see warning above)”

First I reset the DSSM

And configure the micro like this:

When I record the program it gets stuck at 0 and gives a Time Out error

When running it again it seems to have blocked but it does not load my firmware

I think I might be doing something wrong by locking the microcontroller

Hi Gabriel,

First, I do want to say that you are using an XMS version (pre-release) silicon, which will have bugs/issues that have been corrected in the release silicon. So just keep this in mind and replace it with a released version first chance.

Ok, so this issue happens on both the Launchpad and the XMS silicon. What parameters are you modifying in NONMAIN that requires an erase/program sequence along with main memory?

Hey Gabriel,

Could you select the other NONMAIN erase option "erase main and nonmain memory".

If I recall correctly due to the limited SRAM capacity the flashloader for MSPM0C devices have stripped down features so I believe that erase option isn't supported. It essentially is the same though since erasing nonmain is still just a sector erase being performed.

Hello,

I soldered a new MSP and enabled the “erase main and nonmain memory” option
It compiled normally, but it did not block reading. I can read it using the Uni Flash.

Hey Gabriel.

It seems like you were trying to disable debug access right? In that case after flashing you would require a bootrst at minimum to see the new security policy to go into effect.

After flashing try performing an nRST toggle or perform a power cycle to see the effects of your configuration.
