AM2634: Clarification regarding ESM, MCRC and PBIST

Part Number: AM2634

Tool/software:

Hi,

I'm looking for clarification regarding few concepts connected regarding ESM, MCRC and PBIST.

My current knowledge is based on:

  • Technical Reference Manual  (SPRUJ17F).
  • Functional Safety Manual for AM263x (SPRUJ14)

The questions I have:

  1. ESM module allows to aggregate safety related faults, however i don't see a way to route MCRC and PBIST errors throught ESM? Is there a way to trigger ESM interrupt and set safety error pin when MCRC/PBIST triggers?
  2. Can MCRC work with external flash (QSPI)?
  3. In the documentation I've found: "The PBIST is a programable test engine used to apply different memory test algorithms to internal SRAM and ROM on the device", however the momory groups from the documentation looks like this:
Memory Group Number Memory Group Description
    4 MEM_TOP_PBISTROM
    6 MEM_MSS_CA_ATCM
    7 MEM_MSS_CA_BTCM
    8 MEM_MSS_CB_ATCM
    9 MEM_MSS_CB_BTCM
    15 MEM_MSS_L2_0
    16 MEM_MSS_L2_1

My question here is, can AM2634 perform PBIST on it's SRAM?

Best regards,

Piotr
