TMS570LS1114: spnz218c - Errata : ADC#1

Part Number: TMS570LS1114

Tool/software:

Dear support forum,

regarding the errata mentioned in the title, I would like to ask when exactly the issue of having in influence of "injected current on the shared input channel" on the voltage reference / VSSAD, VCCAD is of relevance:

We intend to sample voltage that are always in between VSSAD and VCCAD. There should basically not occure any current on the input channel line, yet alone a current injection.

Furthermore, how large must the current injection be so that a non-negligible effect on DC offset in conversion results of other channels occurs?

Thank you for your support and kind regards

Sebastian

  • Hi Sebatian,

Furthermore, how large must the current injection be so that a non-negligible effect on DC offset in conversion results of other channels occurs?

The condition for this issue is not the current, the following are the conditions for this issue:

    1. Customer must use one shared channel and one dedicated channel.

Example, like channel-A and channel-B in below picture:

    2. The input voltage on the shared channel must be greater than or equal to  VCCAD - 0.3V.

Example, like 5v(2mA*2.5kOhm) at channel-B in below picture:

    3. And there must be a common sampling window between the two channels.

If above conditions were met, then this issue will occur.
